Reporting

Answer the question the sponsor actually asks

Not how many people logged in. Who has been trained, on what, when, and what is still outstanding, in a form somebody outside the training team will accept.

What comes out of it

  • A training matrix that prints as a document
  • A per learner transcript of everything assigned, completed and scored
  • Managers see their own team, which is what makes the numbers get used
  • Reports scheduled by email, on whatever cadence the audience wants

The reports

Built for the person
who has to produce evidence

A screenshot of a dashboard is not a compliance record. These are the shapes an auditor, a regulator or a board paper actually needs.

  • Training matrix: every person against every required course, in one grid
  • Per learner transcript: one person, everything they have done, with dates
  • Course progress: which content is landing and which is being abandoned
  • Timeline: enrolments and completions over the last 7, 15 or 30 days
  • Stalled learners: the people who started and stopped, which is where the risk is
  • Custom reports, saved and scheduled, from Grow

Before you ask

What people check first

Can managers see only their own people?

Yes, and that is the point. A manager who has to ask the training team for a report stops asking. The hierarchy decides what each manager sees.

Can we get the data out?

Yes. Reports export, and there is a REST API and an xAPI endpoint on every plan, so this is not a place your data goes to be trapped.

Do scheduled reports actually send?

Yes, by email, on the cadence you set. If a schedule has never sent, that is a fault and worth telling us about rather than working around.
