Building one
Four steps,
then it runs itself
- 01
Pick the courses
From your own library, the included one, or both together.
- 02
Set the order
Drag them into sequence and decide what counts as passing each step.
- 03
Assign it
To a role, a branch, a group or a list of people. Automations can do this on a start date.
- 04
Leave it alone
Progress, reminders and the certificate at the end happen without anybody being asked.
Before you ask
What people check first
What counts as passing a step?
The rule is set per course: a completion, a quiz score above a threshold, or a scored practice session. The next step stays locked until it is met, so a path is a real prerequisite chain rather than a suggestion.
Can somebody be moved past a step?
Yes. An administrator can mark a step complete for a person who has already proven the skill elsewhere, and the override is recorded in the audit log rather than being invisible.
What happens when we add a course to a path people are already on?
It appears as a new step for everyone on that path. People who had finished are shown as having it outstanding, which is the honest answer rather than quietly leaving them marked complete.
Is the certificate ours or yours?
Yours. The template carries your logo, your wording and your signature. Removing ZillionLMS branding entirely is available from Pro.
